Sridhar IyengarCEOElemental Machines

Sridhar Iyengar, a serial entrepreneur, has started three companies that have revolutionized multiple industries. Sridhar’s first company, Agamatrix,a blood glucose monitoring company, developed the first medical device, the iBGStar, to connect to the iPhone, setting the stage for connected medical devices. AgaMatrix has established partnerships with Apple, Sanofi, and Walgreens resulting in 15+ FDA-cleared medical devices, 2B+ biosensors and 6M+ glucose meters sold. Sridhar started his second company, Misfit, maker of elegant wearable products, with John Scully, former CEO of Pepsi and Apple. Misfit was sold to Fossil in 2015 for over $250M. Sridhar’s current company, Elemental Machines, leverages data science and IoT-based technology to decipher physical processes, from R&D to manufacturing, for science-based industries. Elemental Machines is providing solutions to leading companies in biopharma, synthetic biology, veterinary, clinical, energy, agriculture and food tech industries. Sridhar holds over 50 US and international patents and received his Ph.D. from Cambridge University as a Marshall Scholar. Beyond Elemental Machines, Sridhar has been known to run 13.1 miles on occasion and has sometimes been spotted on stage behind a wall of drums.
