Join user experience researcher Syrena Evelyn from Blink UX, who will help you uncover insights and inform great designs through contextual inquiry, in a collaborative hands-on activity. The 2016 FDA guidance “Applying Human Factors and Usability Engineering to Medical Devices” recommends evaluating products with users to ensure safe and effective use. User research can be fundamental when used to uncover end-user needs, motivations, and context of use. Contextual inquiry is a foundational user research methodology used to deepen understanding about a subject, opportunity, or problem area. It can identify people’s needs, preferences, mindsets, expectations, and behaviors, allowing us to gain insights about the context of use, explore possibilities, and be inspired.
