An effective post-market surveillance (PMS) process is critical to an organization's overall risk management procedure. Additionally, companies are also beginning to use post market analysis to gain critical real-world performance data that can translate into a significant competitive advantage.
By incorporating Internet of Things (IoT) capabilities into medical devices, medtech can monitor, catalog, and analyze key performance indicator data from use in the field, down to the component level. This can uncover "hidden" customer needs and provide engineers with information to value engineer new products for added profitability and performance.
