Validating embedded system performance at the physical layer, using a digital oscilloscope, is the focus of this seminar.

Material will cover: correlating embedded serial bus traffic with other analog and digital signals on your board; isolating interoperability and timing relationships between board-board or device-device signaling; extracting analog information from serial data packets and plotting them to confirm embedded data content; validating the time relationships between serial data packets and other signals; accumulating and plotting statistical timing relationships of embedded traffic; decoding and triggering on data-link layer or symbolic layer information; and jitter and signal integrity analysis in low-speed serial applications.
