This session introduces and expands upon test bench techniques for digital logic simulation. Attendees will leave
with HDL code suitable for popular FPGA simulation tools. Topics covered will be beginning to intermediate
level, with a brief discussion of advanced techniques and resources. Specific topics will be procedureized
operations, file operations, and techniques for optimizing between simulation and synthesis.

Takeaway

The attendee will leave with a solid foundation of test bench design with some specific techniques. They will
also have knowledge of where to find information on advanced techniques.

Intended Audience

This session is suitable for any engineer who designs FPGA logic and wishes to increase their test bench /
simulation skill set. Functional simulation of FPGA logic is strongly advised for all FPGA designs.
