We will discuss our work in behavioral prediction using the latest in Artificial Intelligence technologies. For example, in direct partnership with the U.S. Veterans Administration, our 'Durkheim Project' attained a first time 67% probability of predicting suicide risk in 2013. In partnership with Facebook, the project has since scaled this solution utilizing big data – analyzing the social and mobile interactions of thousands of veterans to more accurately predict suicide. The Durkheim Project shows that predictive technology can consistently outperform traditional methods of prediction, such as psychiatrist assessment alone, by 16% - increasing the hope of saving additional veterans and their families from tragedy. Results in the January 28 2014 issue of PLOS ONE. Other examples will also be discussed.
